Barber Park is Greensboro's premier outdoor music venue with lush fields, a variety of amenities, with food and refreshments from local food trucks, breweries and wineries.

How will your town or city benefit from the Levitt AMP [Your City] Music Series?

By attending both the 2016 Levitt AMP Greensboro concert series, which ran from May through July at Barber Park, and the National Folk Festival, which was held September 9 - 11, 100,000+ Greensboro residents witnessed live music’s power to bring our diverse community together. By presenting a variety of musical genres, ArtsGreensboro encourages people to enjoy and celebrate each other's cultural heritage. Experiencing live music together--old and young; black and white; from a variety of neighborhoods, religions, and backgrounds—unifies the people of our city in a unique way. Describe the site where the free concerts will be held. Explain how the Levitt AMP [Your City] Music Series will play a role in enlivening the selected public space and surrounding areas.

Barber Park is the centerpiece of East Greensboro, which has been the recent beneficiary of tremendous investments in a variety of initiatives such as the Hayes Taylor YMCA, Gateway Gardens, the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Moreover, the City has invested nearly $10 million in Barber Park itself. Over the course of a year, Barber Park welcomes many visitors who enjoy its varied amenities; however, only recently has the park’s amphitheater hosted major events worthy of its beautiful, outdoor setting. The park’s expansive lawn--with its gentle slope, no fixed seats, and surrounding trees—provides an ideal location for families who want to enjoy an evening of music in the park.
